Director, the Interdisciplinary Obesity Center and the Division of Nutrition Epidemiology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Dr. Popkin is a leading scholar on dietary patterns and trends, diet and body composition, and obesity.

Ben Caballero, Ph.D., M.D.

Director of the Center for Human Nutrition, Johns Hopkins University

Dr. Caballero is a member of the Institute of Medicine Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee and an eminent scholar of obesity and nutrition. His research focuses on the investigation of dietary factors, using epidemiologic approaches, in the cause and prevention of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other important conditions.
